John Floyd, Sr. recently presented at the annual conference of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Dallas, TX. The presentation focused on the defense of the chiropractic physician from the beginning of suit being filed through trial. After a brief presentation on some of the basic legal concepts involved in professional liability claims and the defense of the chiropractic physician, the presentation focused on one of the most controversial and, often times, the most devastating claims of vertebral and carotid artery dissections that are generally attributed to the chiropractic physician’s treatment. Mr. Floyd took the audience through the actual trial (through video) of a chiropractic physician who was alleged to have caused bilateral dissections that resulted in permanent brain injury.

John is a board-certified medical malpractice attorney who has tried to verdict over 100 jury trials during his 28-year career.
